The development of digital healthcare is rapidly accelerating in the age of the declining birthrate and aging population as well as the time of COVID-19. Meanwhile, only a handful of digital healthcare services are essentially useful and utilized in actual medical settings, and the situation remains that only part of the services is used by a limited number of medical institutions.
In this lecture, Yanagawa, who has supported the creation of numerous digital healthcare services as an active doctor and the CEO of a healthcare technology company, will talk about What digital healthcare is really needed? based on his experience.

| Speaker’s profile | Graduated from Shinshu University School of Medicine in 2007. Completed the early phase clinical residency program at Shinshu University Hospital in 2009. Acquired the qualification as a Board Certified Neurosurgeon and Training Physician. Has performed more than 2,500 neurosurgical operations. Founded the Society of Internet of Medical Things in 2016, and appointed as director, working on the promotion of the linkage between IoT and medical care. Founded ZAIKEN Co., Ltd., in July 2018 and engaged in the operation of a service for IoT continuous remote electrocardiogram (ECG) examination by using ultracompact continuous remote ECG device, called Ishindenshin. Started the operation of DOCTORS Co., Ltd., in October 2019 and launched a crowdsourcing business by medical professionals, which is Japan’s first system of its kind with more than 400 medical specialists playing leading roles in promoting IT and IoT in medicine for a new era of a super-declining birthrate and super-aging population. |
