DOCTORS Co., Ltd., (head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Takao Yanagawa; hereinafter referred to as “DOCTORS”), which provides one-stop services for the development, commercialization, sales, and distribution of digital healthcare services and support for medical cooperation telemedicine, will hold the Digital Health Innovation Fair 2021, Japan’s first trade show specialized in digital health to be held at Makuhari Messe (Chiba City, Chiba) from October 13 to 15, 2021, co-sponsored with RX Japan Ltd. (head office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Takeshi Tanaka; hereinafter referred to as “RX Japan”), which is Japan’s largest trade show organizer. On holding the fair, we have set and call for a limited number of special slots for exhibitors in addition to the regular ones. Companies, if they would participate in the special slot, will be able to continue their distribution to medical institutions even after the fair.
Festival of digital health to achieve the virtualization of essential medical care
In the medical environment, where the situation is getting tight due to the COVID-19 pandemic and while expectations for digital healthcare services of therapeutic apps, medical AI services, and telemedicine systems are growing, there is a big gap between medical institutions as users and companies as providers because it is difficult for the former to know how they should select and introduce those services. In light of such circumstances, DOCTORS and RX Japan will co-sponsor this trade fair in which we showcase digital healthcare services that can truly be utilized on the medical front together from the perspectives of doctors to diffuse and promote those services to medical institutions.
This trade show is going to be held within the Medical & Elderly Care Expo, which annually expects more than 14,000 visitors, including doctors. We will have many doctors from medical institutions experience all categories of digital healthcare services physically on-site to experience the usefulness and possibility of digital health themselves, and we will also propose what the digital healthcare platform should be into the future. In addition to the regular exhibitor slots, we have set special ones at this trade show to companies that intend to more proactively distribute their own digital healthcare services to medical institutions. The exhibitors with these special slots can continue the distribution to medical institutions by several wholesalers not only during the trade show but also after it.
Overview of the Digital Health Innovation Fair 2021
This is an exhibition specialized in digital health that leverages the latest medical technologies of AI, the cloud, mobile, and IoT. Over 400 specialists (expert doctors), who are committed to digital healthcare, will promote digital healthcare services by the exhibiting companies. Medical DX consultants from DOCTORS will conduct interviews for business matching with visitors (doctors and companies) and other exhibiting companies. Matching after sharing exhibitor’s information in advance will help achieve effective business negotiations and create opportunities to lead to more successful business transactions.

The Medical & Elderly Care Expo held in October 2020 recorded 14,377 visitors. The EXPO this fiscal year is expected to have more than 15,000 visitors.
RX Japan will implement all possible measures against COVID-19 on the day of the fair by setting up a counter to distribute masks and a medical office where doctors and nurses will be stationed, taking the temperature of all participants, and implementing thorough social distancing.
